The electric slag furnace is used for common steel re-molten and refined into special steel ingots or steel. For the load is stable, the secondary voltage of the electric slag furnace transformer is low and the current is high, and overloading operation is unnecessary; however, the shifts are too many, some highly required precision needs infinite variable voltage adjustment which is saturated reactor voltage adjustment. Small furnaces employ excitation-free voltage adjustment, and the middle and large furnaces employ loaded adjustment.
