Steel making electric arc transformer
The steel making electric arc transformer is a kind of special transformer designed and manufactured in accordance with special requirements for current. Except for features of general transformer, machinery strength, electric strength, stability and voltage and other special requirements of the transformers for the steel making technology are satisfied to remove technical difficulties.
The electric arc transformer is the power transformer of the steel making electric arc furnace. Capacity of the electric arc transformer is configured based on the capacity ofthe electric arc furnace and metallurgy technology. It satisfies requirements of the metallurgy technology through voltage adjustment. The voltage adjustment is divided into loaded voltage adjustment and excitation-free voltage adjustment. Large electric arc transformer with loaded voltage adjustment is not provided with reactor. Middle or small electric arc furnace transformers with excitation-free voltage adjustment are classified into provided with reactors in series connection and not provided with reactors, which can change impedance under maximum secondary voltage. The former one changes impedance with use and out of use of the reactors in series connection, and the later one changes impedance by changing linking of the high-voltage winding of the electric arc transformer.
